John B. Powell
I was born in Toledo, Ohio and I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. With the exception of a semester off campus in Washington, D.C., I have lived entirely in Indiana. Practicing law provides the variety and independence I want in a career.
I became interested in my particular areas of practice - general litigation, domestic relations, and personal injury through a Trial Techniques class I took during my last year of law school. I enjoy the challenge of the court room and helping clients in litigation matters. For me, these are among the most rewarding aspects of my career. I always keep my clients' interests at the forefront, focusing on the final result but keeping cost efficiency in mind at all times. I strive to take an objective, reasonable approach to litigation.
Outside of practicing law, I enjoy my kids, most sports, traveling, sailing, and history, particularly the Civil War (not always in that order!).
